Woodrow Wade Guy

Woodrow “Woody” Guy , 70, of Port Arthur passed away on Wednesday, February 27, 2019 at his home.

He was born on July 5, 1948 to his parents, Estern Emory Guy and Ezalty Elizabeth Pain Guy in Port Arthur, Texas. Woody was a lifelong resident of Port Arthur. He retired from Valero after 45 years as an operator, working under Gulf Oil, Chevron and Premcor during his career. He was affiliated with Bethel Missionary Baptist Church in Port Acres.

Woody was preceded in death by his parents, his three brothers, John Michael Guy, Daniel Wayne Guy and Jimmy Rayford Guy, his wife, Rebecca Guy.

He is survived by his two daughters, Evelyn Stelly and her husband, Patrick of Port Arthur, Lorrie Guy of Houston, Texas and his son, Scott Guy of Port Arthur along with 5 grandchildren,

Michael Wisenbaker, Eric Wisenbaker, Lorren Guy, Ricky Guy and Wade Guy. He is also survived by his great grandchilderen, Michael, Austin, Eli and Abigail, two step great grandchildren, Brooke and Bradley.

He also leaves his sister, Linda Moore and her husband, Johnny of Orange, his four brothers, Richard Guy and his wife, Vicky of Georgetown, Stephen Guy and his wife, Melinda of Port Arthur, David Guy and his wife, Darnell of Lumberton, Timothy Guy and his wife, Marilyn of Groves as well as numerous nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be on Monday, March 4, 2019 from 5:00 PM till 8:00 PM at Clayton Thompson Funeral Home in Groves. Service to honor Woody’s life will be at 11:00 AM Tuesday, March 5, 2019 in the Thompson Memorial Chapel at Clayton Thompson. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Memorial Park in Groves.
