Clayton-Thompson Funeral Home has been a trusted name in Southeast Texas since 1920. Originally established in downtown Port Arthur as "THE HAMPTON CO.," the business was purchased by Paul B. Clayton and Thorlief Thompson in 1930. In 1976, a purpose-built facility was constructed at our current location on 39th Street in Groves, adjacent to Port Arthur's cemetery.
In 2024, Clayton-Thompson proudly joined the Claybar Network of Funeral Homes, giving our families access to expanded facilities including cemeteries, a state-of-the-art crematory, and a full-service floral shop. Our experienced staff is available 24 hours a day to serve families in Groves, Port Arthur, Port Neches, Nederland, and surrounding communities.
