William Roy Mccray

William Roy McCray, 56, of Sabine Pass, Texas passed away on Tuesday afternoon in Sabine Pass.

He was born on August 26, 1963 to his parents, William Henry McCray, Jr. and Margie A. William McCray in Port Arthur, Texas. William has been a lifelong resident of Sabine Pass. He spent most of his life on the water fishing and crabbing and you would never find him without a smile.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Margie and Billy and his brother, William Robert McCray.

William is survived by his two daughters, Tabitha McCray of Houston and Haley McCray of Sabine Pass, three grandchildren, Chrislyn Lafauci, Caydence Varing and J. J. Varing. He is also survived by his sister, Roberta Sexton and her husband, Bob of Sabine Pass, several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be on Tuesday, July 14, 2020 from 4:00 PM till 5:00 PM with a Memorial service to honor William’s life at 5:00 PM in the Thompson Memorial Chapel at Clayton Thompson Funeral Home in Groves. Arrangements for cremation are entrusted to Clayton Thompson.

Due to the Covid-19 crisis that we are currently in, all visitors are required to wear face mask or covering at the Funeral Home and practice social distancing by orders of the County.
