A Life Remembered

Obituary

Virginia Noyola, 88, of Groves, TX passed away Thursday, September 10th, 2020. Virginia was born May 02, 1932 in Roswell, New Mexico and moved to Port Arthur as a teenager where she worked in her parent's restaurant, El Patio. Virginia graduated from Thomas Jefferson High School and married the love of her life, Pedro Noyola Sr. with whom she raised four children. She was a devoted homemaker who loved going to the YMCA, casino, a cold beer and her children and grandchildren. Her "feisty retorts" and lack of a "filter" either had you laughing or cringing.

Virginia was preceded in death by her husband of 52 years, Pedro Noyola Sr and grandson Tyler Noyola.

She is survived by her sons, Steven Noyola of Port Arthur, Greg Noyola and his wife Crystal of Port Neches, Pedro Noyola, Jr. and his wife Toni of Converse, Texas and daughter, Veronica Bousema and her husband Dennis of Las Vegas, Nevada along with several grandchildren, Dylan, Chris, Jason, Marcus, Pedrito, Diego, Juan, Christina, James and several great grandchildren.

Private graveside services will be in Greenlawn Memorial Park under the direction of Clayton Thompson Funeral Home in Groves.

A special thank you to Amy and the rest of mom's caregivers for their love and patience and Dylan for always finding time to stop in for a quick "Hi Grandma".

So sorry to hear of her passing.  I looked forward to seeing your posts Greg on FB with you and your Mom, that was pretty cool! Veronica, I will always remember her flour tortillas she made every morning when you and I carpooled...they were the best!!! Lots of other memories too!  I’m sure she is happy up in heaven with your Dad.  Peace and prayers for all of you at this  time. 🙏🏻

Greg Our prayers are with y’all!  Your mom was one of a kind and yes no filter.  I really enjoyed her stories of you and Gary growing up.
