A Life Remembered

Obituary

Vicky Nunez Benoit

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother Vicky Nunez Benoit. Vicky was born and raised in Port Acres, Texas and was a member of St. Therese of the Little Flower Catholic Church until the time of her passing on December 19, 2025, at the age of 79. She lived a life remembered with love, laughter, and most importantly, family.

Vicky ended her professional career as the office manager for Dr. George and lived out the rest of her days happily retired. She enjoyed the simple pleasures of life such as watching classic movies, drinking Dr Pepper, spending time at the beach, and visiting with family and friends. Vicky was always there for her family, providing fun and laughter at birthday parties and sporting events, and everything in between. Vicky married her husband Joseph “Joe” Benoit in 2011. The two of them have spent the last 14 years enjoying each other’s company.

Vicky leaves behind her beloved husband of 14 years, Joseph L. Benoit; her daughter, Audra Davis; and her son, Vance Davis, along with his wife, Anna. Her legacy is further carried on by her grandchildren: Chase Davis, Mason Davis and his wife, Reyna, Korey Davis, Candace Miller and her husband, Jason, Courtney Scheler and her husband, Jeremy, John Michael Davis, Kaylin Haden and her husband, Travis, Kyra Morris, and Karli Davis. Her greatgrandchildren, Avery Davis, Arya Davis, Austin Scheler, Clayton Scheler, Raylee Scheler, Sofia Pena, and Mila Pena. All will hold her memory close to their hearts including her two nephews Bret Babineaux and his wife, Monica and Slate Babineaux and his wife, Dana. Vicky is also survived by her sister, Charlene Babineaux, and her husband, Danny and numerous cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents, Lurcie and Anna Nunez, and her son, Thad Davis.

Family and friends will have the opportunity to pay their respects during the visitation held at Clayton Thompson Funeral Home at 5200 West Parkway Street in Groves, Texas, on Monday, December 29, 2025, from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM, followed by a Funeral Service at 2:00 PM. Vicky Nunez Benoit leaves a legacy of love, laughter, and family devotion that will be fondly remembered by all whose lives she touched.

Vicky will be greatly missed, always remembered and forever in our hearts.
