Thuan Nguyen

Thuan Nguyen, 65, of Nederland passed away on Wednesday, March 2, 2022 at Christus St. Elizabeth Hospital in Beaumont.

He was born on May 10, 1956 in Phan Thiet, Vietnam to Truong Nguyen and Than Nguyen. Thuan has been a resident of the United States since 1975 and living in the area since 1986. He was the owner and operator of Gulf Coast Seafood in Port Arthur since 2004. Thuan was a longtime member of Queen of Vietnam Catholic Church.

He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, Thinh Nguyen and Phu Nguyen.

Thuan is survived by his wife, Phuc Thi Nguyen of Nederland; his daughter, Van Nguyen of Katy, Texas; his two sons, Vu Nguyen and wife Nhi Pham of Nederland, Huy Nguyen and wife Linh Nguyen along with five grandchildren, Jordan, Laken, Mason, Evan and Hayden. He is also survived by his three sisters, Chinh Nguyen of Beaumont, Hoa Nguyen of Nederland, Qui Nguyen of Port Arthur; his three brothers, Hoang Nguyen of Port Neches, Quynh Nguyen of Port Arthur, Long Nguyen of Port Arthur along with numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be on Friday, March 4, 2022 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM and resume at 1:00 PM Saturday and Sunday with a rosary to be prayed at 6:00 PM Saturday and Sunday with visitation until 8:00 PM each day at Clayton Thompson Funeral Home in Groves.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 AM Monday, March 7, 2022 at Queen of Vietnam Catholic Church in Port Arthur. Entombment will follow in Greenlawn Memorial Park in Groves under the direction of Clayton Thompson.
