A Life Remembered

Obituary

Thomas Joseph LeMire, 91, of Groves passed away on Monday, October 31, 2022 at his home.

He was born on May 15, 1931 in Port Arthur, Texas to Frank and Buelah LeMire. He began his education at St. Mary’s grade school and graduated from Thomas Jefferson High School in 1949. He began his working career at Texaco refinery in 1949 and later was employed as a lab technician at Dupont Beaumont Works, where he retired in 1989. Thomas proudly served in the U. S. Air Force for four years during the Korean Conflict. After his honorable discharge, he attended Lamar College and successfully earned his Bachelor Degree in Business Management in 1958.

Thomas was a active member of St. Peter Catholic Church Choir for many years. He faithfully sang for those who departed from this life. His main hobby was his love for golf, which remained a learning experience for over fifty years. The many friends he met through golf truly made his life a blessing.

Thomas leaves behind his loving daughter, Michelle and his fine son-in-law, Ross Borel; his sister, Helen Boudreaux along with numerous nieces and nephews.
