Teddy Roy Stansbury

Teddy Roy Stansbury passed away on March 5, 2026 at the age of 72 in Groves, Texas. He was born on February 4, 1954 in Port Arthur, Texas to Solomon Brock Stansbury and Helen Bernice Albers-Stansbury. Teddy was 1 of 6 kids. Siblings: Larry Stansbury, Mike Stansbury, David Stansbury, Connie Cormier, and Robin Juneau.

After being discharged from the United States Army and the United States Navy, he married his best friend, Karen Stansbury, and together they had 2 boys, Brandon Stansbury and Ryan Stansbury.

Teddy was a caring and loving family man and was the life of every party. One of Teddy’s passions was fishing with his buddy Ray Sonnier.

Teddy was preceded in death by his parents, Solomon Stansbury and Helen Bernice Stansbury and his siblings, David Stansbury and Robin Juneau.

Survivors include his wife, Karen Stansbury, sons Brandon Stansbury, Ryan Stansbury and his wife, Ashley. Grandchildren: Blakely Stansbury and Kaisen Stansbury. Brothers: Larry Stansbury and his wife, Tissie and Mike Stansbury. Sister, Connie Cormier and her husband, Bert. Mother-In-Law, Janell Farris (maw-maw) and a host of nieces and nephews.

Visitation in honor of Teddy will be held on Monday, March 9, 2026, from 5 PM to 8 PM at Clayton Thompson Funeral Home located at 5200 West Parkway Street Groves, Texas. A Graveside Service will take place Tuesday, March 10, 2026 at 11:00 AM at Greenlawn Memorial Park Groves, Texas.

Teddy will be laid to rest with military honors.
