Obituary
Tana Sue Atkinson, 67, of Nederland passed from the arms of her adoring family to those of her loving Savior on Friday, September 17, 2021 at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Beaumont, Texas.
Tana was born on June 4, 1954 in Port Arthur, Texas to late parents Dorothy Lavern (Smith) and Clarence William Domaschk. She graduated from Thomas Jefferson High School in 1972 and she received an Associate Degree in Secretarial Science from Cheniere Business College. She had lived in Nederland, Jasper and Houston. Tana was an executive secretary for many years; working at Chemical Waste Management and Tenneco Inc. in Texas. She enjoyed cooking, yard work, taking nature walks, and going to the lake.
Tana was a loving person who loved spending time with her family. She was a devoted mother, friend, sister and daughter. She loved her Lord and Savior, and she was a fierce prayer warrior. She loved to pray for anyone and everyone who needed prayer. Always providing encouragement, support, or advice to those closest to her as well as an avid prayer partner to her best friend, Terri Jones.
She was preceded in death by her parents, and her brother, Gary Domaschke.
Tana is survived by her three daughters, Ashley Baker, Kristin Baker, Brittney Baker all of Nederland. She is also survived by her two grandchildren, Kason and Kaden Mayer.
A 2:00 PM funeral service will be held on Wednesday, September 22, 2021 at Clayton Thompson Funeral Home, with a gathering of family and friends from 12:30 PM until service time at the funeral home, Burial will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park in Groves.
