Obituary

Sylvester Arthur Dubuisson, 97, of  Port Arthur passed away on Thursday, July 13, 2023 at Magnolia Manor in Groves.

He was born on July 3, 1926 in Port Arthur, Texas to Sylvester A. Dubuisson and Edna Hawthorne Dubuisson. Arthur lived most of his life in Port Arthur. He served in the U. S. Army during WWII. Arthur retired from Dupont-Beaumont Works as a instrument man after 30 years of service. He was a longtime member of St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Church in Port Arthur.

Arthur was preceded in death by his parents and two siblings; his wife Margaret Trosclair Dubuisson.

He is survived by his two sons, Jerry Dubuisson and wife Dixie of Port Neches, Danny Dubuisson and wife Christie of Groves; his grandchildren, Tara Dubuisson Ritchie and husband Bobby of Clear Lake, Texas, Zack Dubuisson and wife Alyssabeth of Bloomington, Indiana, Katy Dubuisson and her life partner Tatsu Aikawa of Austin, Texas; his great grandchildren, Tripp Ritchie, Talon Ritchie, Teagan Ritchie and Kai Dubuisson Aikawa.

Visitation will be on Monday, July 17, 2023 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM with a Rosary to be prayed at 6:00 PM at Clayton Thompson Funeral Home in Groves. Service to honor Arthur’s life will be at 10:00 AM in the Thompson Memorial Chapel at Clayton Thompson. Entombment will follow in Oak Bluff Memorial Park in Port Neches.
