It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Elizabeth Ann Richards known to most as "Susie", who left this world on May 23, 2025, in Houston, Texas at the age of 77. Born on April 8, 1948, in Port Arthur, Texas, Susie was a shining light in the lives of her family and friends, whose love and dedication shaped the lives of those around her.
Susie devoted herself to her family, always prioritizing her children above all else. Her life revolved around her beloved sons, Jason Richards and his wife Heather of Kountze, and Jared Richards and his husband Alex Jade of Houston, as well as her cherished daughter, Regina Richards and her wife Leticha of Port Neches. Her unwavering support and encouragement inspired them to pursue their dreams, and each of them carries forward her spirit of love and determination.
A proud grandmother, Susie took immense joy in her six grandchildren: Jacey, Jordan, Madison, Kenzie, Haylee, and Hunter. As well as her great-grandchildren, Easton, Swayde, Amaya, and her soon-to-arrive great-granddaughter, Brooklyn, ensuring her legacy of love continues through the generations.
Susie's career as a bank teller at Community Bank of Texas, where she retired in 2014, was a testament to her hardworking nature and reliability. Yet, it was her personal interests that painted the true picture of who she was. A passionate traveler, Susie found joy in exploring the world and creating beautiful memories with her family.
In addition to her immediate family, Susie is survived by her brother Kenny Trimble and his wife Diana of Katy, as well as her nieces, Tish and Keri.
Susie was preceded in death by her father, Ryan J. Trimble, mother, Geraldine Trimble, and brother, Ryan Trimble.
The loving presence of Elizabeth Ann Richards "Susie" will be deeply missed by all who knew her. Friends and family are invited to celebrate her remarkable life at Clayton - Thompson Funeral Directors in Groves, Texas. There will be a visitation on May 31, 2025, from 12:30 PM to 2:00 PM, followed by a funeral service at 2:00 PM. She will be laid to rest at Greenlawn Memorial Park at 3:30 PM, with reception to follow at Larry and Rita's, address 3701 Pure Atlantic Road, Groves, TX 77619.
As we remember Susie, let us take comfort in knowing that her legacy of love, commitment, and the joy of family will continue to inspire all the lives she touched.
