Susan, what can we say about Susan? We knew her for a short while but her soul touched ours in such a profound way that her passing is heart breaking. Just this year I learned how selfless she was...kind, compassionate earth angel. We're blessed to have the assurance that she is now resting in the arms of our Savior...or singing, or dancing, maybe even laughing that special laugh that everyone loves. We love you Ali, Alex & Andrew, Vicki & John.

I'm so sorry for your loss. Aunt Susan was so kind and loving. I have many happy memories of being together in Branson and enjoying playing games and being at the lake. She was always so patient in teaching new games, and I loved being her partner in 42, hand and foot, or anything else we were playing. I know she'll be missed so much. Sending big hugs to everyone <3 -Lee

Miss Susan was such a thoughtful and introspective person, and I think what I loved about her most was her interesting and alluring sense of humor. She was truly one of a kind—if I didn’t know better, I’d swear she coined using the term “I’m just sayin’” after commenting on something that perhaps may or may not go over too well. :) Her entire family is warm, loving people who I remember to be sweet, fun, and FUNNY. When I think of her, I can imagine her just so vividly—I see her face deep in thought as she listened to me (not uncommon for me to perplex her from time to time with teenage nonsense). I can hear her contagious laugh (you just had to hear it to know), and I can remember her randomly belting out into singing some gospel song with her sister, Miss Vicki. Those two together—it was just the best thing to see.  I am honored to have known Miss Susan. My brief moment under her wing spanned over many years of distant “I love you’s” and ultimately, what I consider to be a very dear friendship. I’ll always think of her when I have a hush puppy (I really never cared for them until I we had some together once at Dorothy’s Front Porch).  All my love to Mr. Ali, to Andrew, and of course to you, Alexander Ali—and your beautiful wife, Manoush. May God bless you all during this time.

My prayers are with Susan’s family. We were childhood classmates, friends, Blue Bird and Campfire friends. May you find peace and comfort in the coming days.

Susan was a beautiful person inside & out. I loved her quiet humor but boisterous laugh. We shared the same peer group at Port Arthur First. Prayers for her family!

My beautiful beautiful friend and sister in the Lord. This is so difficult to even believe.  “But God ~…”  We know and trust Him for the very best for you. You have no idea how many lives you touched. How many hearts you lead to the Lord. How much you will be missed by so many. I’m still struggling with knowing Wayne and I cannot be there, and not knowing what I will do without you my sweet friend. And BB1. Just today I asked the Lord for a Word of comfort for my breaking heart. I opened my Bible and this is what I read.  “Jesus said to her, I am [Myself] the Resurrection and the Life. Whoever believes in (adheres to, trusts in, and relies on) Me, although he may die, yet he shall live; And whoever continues to live and believes in (has faith in, cleaves to, and relies on) Me shall never [actually] die at all. Do you believe this?” John 11:25-26 Amplified Bible  I continue to pray for this sweet family and I thank the Lord for our friendship all these years.

Susan and I were childhood friends.  We lived on the same street in Groves and carpooled together through high school.  Many memories cross my mind of a more simpler time.  Condolences to her family.  I know she will be greatly missed.
