Stanley Brumfield, 83, of Groves passed away on Thursday, April 2, 2020 at Bonne Vie Nursing Home.

Stan was born in Monroe, Louisiana to parents Elma and Melvin Brumfield. He had been a resident of Groves for 45 years and he enjoyed going hunting and fishing. Stan loved going dancing and having a good time. He was an Air Force Veteran. Stan never seemed to meet a stranger.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Viola Brumfield and his step daughter, Nancy Lucas.

Those left to cherish Stan memory are his stepson, Tim Lucas and wife, Carolyn of Nederland, his sister, Barbara Bryan of Buna, Beverly Dowdy and husband, Jim of Rusk, TX. He is also survived by his grandson Shane Lucas of Nederland, great granddaughter, Avery Lucas of Katy, TX and numerous nieces and nephews.

Due to the Coronavirus-19 and the limited number of people at a gathering, the family will have a private graveside service under the direction of Clayton Thompson Funeral Home in Groves.
