Shane Reagan Richerson, 36, of Groves passed away on Sunday, June 27, 2021 at his home.

He was born on June 17, 1985 in Port Arthur, Texas to his parents, Dudley Richerson and Connie Menard Richerson. Shane was a lifelong resident of the area. He graduated from Port Neches-Groves High School in 2003 and earned a Bachelor’s degree in Business Marketing from Lamar University in 2007. He was employed at various companies over the years. Shane was a member of the Catholic faith.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, John and Irene Granger, Mary and Elroy James, grandfather, Lovelace Menard, grandfather, Earl Richerson, and aunt, Mona Menard.

He is survived by his parents, Connie and Dudley Richerson of Groves; his uncle, Darrell Richerson and his wife, Gussie of Nederland along with several cousins.

Visitation will be on Friday, July 2, 2021 from 11:00 AM till 1:00 PM at Clayton Thompson Funeral Home in Groves. Service to honor Shane’s life will be at 1:00 PM Friday in the Thompson Memorial Chapel at Clayton Thompson. Entombment will follow in Greenlawn Memorial Park.

Honoring Shane as pallbearers will be Monroe Tinsley, Gary MacMurtrie, Eric Bertrand, Victor Jones, Garrett Gibbs and Nick Howard.
