Obituary
Sadie Marie DeJohn, 94, of Port Arthur passed away on July 27, 2020 at Focused Care of Orange.
She was born on August 30, 1925 in Port Arthur, Texas to her parents, Camille LeDoux and Mabel Cunningham LeDoux. Sadie was a lifelong resident of the area and graduated from Thomas Jefferson High School in 1944. She was a devoted homemaker in raising her three children with her husband, Louis. Sadie was a longtime member of St. Catherine of Sienna Catholic Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her brother, Buddy LeDoux, her husband, Louis DeJohn and her grandson, Gilbert DeJohn.
Sadie is survived by her two sons, Danny DeJohn and his wife, Vivian of Orange; Kim DeJohn and his wife, Lori of Groves; her daughter, Pam King of Austin; her five grandchildren, Thad King, Lance DeJohn and wife Amanda, Shelly Retzolk and husband James, Natalie Trevino and husband Ricardo and Leesa Bigelow along with her great grandchildren, Asher Bigelow, Melania DeJohn, Gianna DeJohn, Baylen Bryant, Bryson Bryant and Dillon Oxford. She is also survived by her sister, Helen Terrell of Conyers, Georgia as well as several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be on Wednesday, July 29, 2020 from 5:00 PM till 8:00 PM with a rosary to be prayed at 6 PM at Clayton Thompson Funeral Home in Groves. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 2:00 PM Thursday, July 30, 2020 at St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Church with Rev. Rodel Faller serving as celebrant. Entombment will follow in Greenlawn Memorial Park.

Due to the Covid-19 crisis we are currently in, all visitors to the funeral home and the church are required to wear face mask or covering and practice social distancing as mandated by the State and County officials.
