Rose Roccaforte Barnett

Rose Roccaforte Barnett, 96, of Port Neches passed away on Friday, December 14, 2018 at the Medical Center of Southeast Texas.

Rose was born on September 30, 1922 in Port Arthur, Texas to parents Lucy (Cuccia) and Emilo Anniboli. She was a lifelong resident of the area; living in Port Arthur, Groves and Port Neches. She was a beautician in the area for many years, owning her own shop and working at different salons. She was a member of St. Elizabeth Catholic Church in Port Neches. Rose enjoyed doing puzzles, playing 42 and in her young years going square dancing. Rose was a loving person who will be dearly missed.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her son, Anthony Roccaforte, her three brothers and one sister.

Rose is survived by her husband, Joe Barnett of Port Neches, her sister, Grace Ann Hennigan of Bridge City, her daughter in law, Phyllis Roccaforte Boutte of Port Neches, her grandchildren, Steven Roccaforte of Greenville, NC, Rebecca Dunn and her husband, John of Orangefield, Dina Stepan and her husband, Dwayne of Groves, Leah Drullinger of Portland, OR. She is also survived by her eight great grandchildren and many beloved nieces and nephews.

A visitation will be held on Wednesday, December 19, 2018 from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm at Clayton Thompson Funeral Home, with at rosary to be prayed at 7:00 pm at the funeral home. A 10:00 am Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, December 20, 2018 at St. Elizabeth Catholic Church, celebrant will be Rev. Shane Baxter. Burial will follow at Oak Bluff Memorial Park in Port Neches.
