Rosa Maria Do Rosario Oliveira Peltier

Rosa Maria Do Rosario Oliveira Peltier, 82, of Sabine Pass passed away on Sunday, September 1, 2024 at the Medical Center of Southeast Texas.

She was born on January 24, 1942 in Olho, Portugal to Rosa Guivota and John Oliveira. Rosie has been a resident of the area since 1967. She worked as a housekeeper at several local business including Enterprise Gas Company, Wildlife Refuge Center and Sabine Pass United Methodist Church.

Rosie was preceded in death by her parents; her sister, Dina Oliveira Dias; her husband, Gerald Thomas Peltier, Sr. and her son, Jeffrey Paul Peltier.

She is survived by her two daughters, Priscilla Richardson of Evadale and Barbara Crain and her husband Darrell of Evadale; her two sons, John Peltier and wife Charlene of Vidor, Gerald Thomas Peltier, Jr. and wife Terry of Sabine Pass along with 11 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren, 1 great-great grandchild with one on the way. She is also survived by her sister, Elizabeth Oliveira Fernandes of Newburg, Indiana as well as several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be on Friday, September 6, 2024 from 5:00 PM till 8:00 PM at Clayton Thompson Funeral Home in Groves. Service to honor Rosie’s life will be at 10:00 AM Saturday, September 7, 2024 in the Thompson Memorial Chapel at Clayton Thompson. Entombment will follow in Memory Gardens.

Serving as pallbearers will be John Peltier, Tommy Peltier, Joseph Peltier, Logan Peltier, Kennard Stelly and James Addington.
