Obituary

Robert “Bob” John Hollar, 78, of Beaumont passed away on Tuesday, January 10, 2023 at the Medical Center of Southeast Texas in Port Arthur.

He was born on October 30, 1944 in Portland, Oregon to Robert and Esther Hollar. Bob retired from the U. S. Navy. He also retired from A & R Pipeline.

Bob was preceded in death by his parents.

He is survived by his loving wife, Diann Marleen Hollar of Beaumont; his two sons, Walter “Wally” Hollar and wife Gayle of Groves, Daniel Hollar and wife Judith of Seattle, Washington; step granddaughter, Michelle Ricks.

Military Honors provided by Southeast Texas Veterans Service Group on Saturday, January 28, 2023 at 2:30 PM at Clayton Thompson Funeral Home in Groves. Arrangements for cremation entrusted to Clayton Thompson.

I am so sad to hear of Bob's passing. It wasn't mentioned in his obituary, but he worked several years with us here in the Purchasing Dept. at the City of Beaumont, before he retired for what I think was his last retirement. He provided us with many laughs and to this day we still quote him on his signature line....."What the Hell". He was a good man with a really interesting life. He will be missed.
