Richard William Towne, 73 passed away on Tuesday, February 2, 2022 at Riceland Hospital in Winnie, TX.
Richard was born on January 23, 1949 in Syracuse, NY to his parent Harold and Bernice Towne. He lived in North Zulch, TX, Sabine Pass, TX and surrounding areas for many years. Richard was a Captain of a supply boat for over 25 years. He enjoyed his family, his beverages, music and being on the water. He was a simple man, with an amazing character.
He is preceded in death by his parents
Richard is survived by his: children, sister, grandchildren and longtime friend Stana Towne.
A gathering of family and friends will be held at Clayton Thompson Funeral Home on Monday February 7th, 2022 at 9:00am, followed by a memorial service beginning at 10:00am. In leiu of flowers, the family request that monetary donations can be made in Richards memory to the Alzheimer’s Association, St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, or any other charity of your choice.
