Obituary

Raul Ramirez, a devoted husband, loving father, and cherished friend, passed away peacefully on August 26, 2026, in Port Arthur, Texas, at the age of 49. Born on May 10, 1977, Raul was known for his big heart, his perpetually happy demeanor, and his unwavering commitment to his family. His warm spirit and infectious joy touched the lives of all who had the pleasure of knowing him.

Raul’s wife, Veronica, was truly the center of his attention. He loved her unconditionally and out loud, always showing her affection and cherishing their moments dancing to music together. A deeply family-oriented man, he enjoyed spending time with his in-laws and found immense happiness watching his baby girl and granddaughter grow up together. Raul was also a master of hospitality, known for his love of grilling and sharing delicious food, and for hosting lively parties that brought friends and family together.

Throughout his professional life as a general manager at Casa Ole, Raul’s friendly nature allowed him to make many lasting friendships. He carried his big-hearted and happy disposition into every interaction. A proud former high school football player, he was thrilled to hear his son made the football team and eagerly looked forward to seeing his first game.

Raul is survived by his beloved wife of 11 years, Veronica Ramirez; his children, Isabella Ramirez, Anabel Ramirez, Raul Ramirez, Jr., and his baby girl, Aaliah "Colocha" Ramirez; and his cherished granddaughter, Oaklynn "Carrot Top" Reasonover. He also leaves behind his loving mother, Thelma Ramirez; his brother, Byron Ramirez and his wife, Kristy; his sister, Linda Torres and her husband, Sean; and his sister-in-law, Tina Ramirez, along with a host of nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends. He was preceded in death by his father, Raul Ramirez, and his brother, Aldo Ramirez.

A visitation for Raul will be held on Tuesday, September 8, 2026, 5:00 pm - 9:00 pm with a rosary to be recited at 5:00 pm. This will be held at Clayton Thompson Funeral Home, 5200 Parkway Drive, Groves, Texas, 77619.

On Wednesday, September 9, 2026, a Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 4600 Proctor Street, Port Arthur, Texas followed by a graveside service at Calvary Cemetery, 3700 25th Street, Port Arthur, Texas.
