Rachel Christine Derese Kimball

Rachel Christine Derese Kimball, 46, of Groves passed away on Wednesday, August 19, 2020.

Rachel was born on June 1, 1974 in Port Arthur to parents Susanna Karen Smith and Andy Zachary Derese. She had been a resident of the area for many years and she had worked as a Record Manager in hospital after received her Associate Degree. Rachel enjoyed going fishing; in her younger years, and being outdoors. Rachel was a loving person who will be dearly missed.

She is preceded in death by her mother, Susanna Smith and her husband, James "Jim" Kimball.

Rachel is survived by her son, Andrew Kimball of Union, MO, her daughter, Susanna Kimball of Groves, her father, Andy Derese and his wife, Vicki of Hamshire, her grandparents, Gene and Peggy Smith of Mauriceville, her sister Sheri Derese of Groves, her brothers, Ryan Ross and his wife, Olivia of Port Neches, Zack Derese of Nederland. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

Due to COVID-19 crisis, the family will have a private service to honor Rachel's life. Cremation arrangements are under the direction Clayton Thompson Funeral Home in Groves.
