Philip Reed Lambert

Philip Reed Lambert, 61, of Houston passed away on Saturday, March 12, 2022 at Methodist Hospital in Houston.

He was born on December 27, 1960 in Port Arthur, Texas to William Stark Lambert and Dorothy Myers Lambert. Philip graduated from Nederland High School in 1980. He was a longtime resident of the area and moved to Houston in 2008. Philip worked for Pat A. Riley Funeral Home for over 20 years as an ambulance operator and funeral assistant. He also worked around earth moving equipment and wreckers through the years.

He was preceded in death by his parents and great nephew Brett Lambert.

Philip is survived by his sister, Elizabeth Jane Lambert Boone of Gainesville, TX; his brothers, William Robert Lambert and wife Jona of West Monroe, LA, John P. Riddle of Houston, William Stark Lambert, Jr. of Beaumont; three nieces, Sarah Lambert, Michelle Lambert Kirby, daughters Regan and Carson, son Tyler and husband Rodney Hood, Laura and Justin Jones and children Jordon and Avery; three nephews, Bob and Jennifer Lambert and children Garrett and Lily, William Stark Lambert III, Nathan Boone and children Lane, Shevie and Kinleigh. Philip is also survived by life long friend Bill Foret and other school friends, George Beard and Jeremy Squires and most likely almost everyone else Philip ever met.

Visitation will be on Friday, March 18, 2022 from 6:00 PM till 8:00 PM at Clayton Thompson Funeral Home in Groves. Service to honor Philip’s life will be at 2:00 PM Saturday, March 19, 2022 in the Thompson Memorial Chapel at Clayton Thompson. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Memorial Park in Groves.

Philip was one of a kind. He was such a genuine good hearted and kind to everyone kind of guy. I knew Philip through when I worked at Park Place hospital and Mid Jeff hospital. Philip’s loving heart will be missed. Prayers for Philip’s family and friends.
