Paul Douglas Venable

Paul Douglas Venable, 67, of LaBelle passed away on Friday, July 29, 2022 in Hemphill, Texas.

He was born on April 5, 1954 in Beaumont, Texas to Paul Venable and Ruby Smith Venable. Paul was a lifelong resident of the area. He was a member of the I. B. E. W. Local 479 and worked for the City of Beaumont and Newtron Electrical.

Paul was preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Patricia Lynn Baker.

He is survived by his loving wife, Patricia Venable of LaBelle; his daughter, Ashley Arevalo and husband, Javier of Hamshire: his son, Steven Martin and wife, Telina of Waco along with three grandchildren, Javier, Esperanza and Arianna Arevalo. He is also survived by his two sisters, Paula Medairy of Longview, Cheryl Knox of Kemah; his brother, Scott Venable of Beaumont, numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be on Monday, August 8, 2022 from 4:00 PM till 8:00 PM with a Rosary to be prayed at 6:00 PM in the Thompson Memorial Chapel at Clayton Thompson Funeral Home in Groves. Service to honor Paul’s life will be celebrated at 11:00 AM Tuesday, August 9, 2022 in the Chapel at Clayton Thompson. Arrangements for cremation are entrusted to Clayton Thompson.
