Obituary

Pamela Wright, born on March 21, 1954, in Port Arthur, Texas, passed away peacefully on August 21, 2026, in Beaumont, Texas. Pamela lived a life full of joy and passion, leaving behind a legacy of warmth and creativity that touched all who knew her. Her vibrant spirit and loving heart will be deeply missed by her family and friends.

Pamela found immense pleasure in life's simple joys and exciting adventures. She loved the thrill of bingo and trips to Delta Downs, often trying her luck on the penny machines. A talented cook, her kitchen was a place of comfort and delicious aromas. Pamela was also incredibly crafty, possessing a unique ability to create something beautiful out of nothing. Above all, she cherished spending time with her beloved family, especially her grandchildren, and had a special place in her heart for animals. She also enjoyed the tranquility of going fishing and crabbing.

Pamela is lovingly remembered by her devoted husband, John Wright of Bridge City. She was a cherished mother to her son, Tommy Bammert, Jr. and his wife, Angela of Fannett, and her daughters, Roxanne Weaver and her husband, Mark of Orange, and Alicia Bedsole and her husband, Greg of Bridge City. Her memory will live on through her grandchildren, Arli Weaver, Ysabel Bammert, Tristin Bammert, Olivia Bedsole, and Zoee Bedsole, and her great-grandchildren, Rori Weaver and Hattie Weaver.

She is also survived by her brothers, Craig Cooper of Spring, Don Cooper of Florida, Keith Lee of Bridge City, and Jay Lee of Livingston, along with many nieces and nephews. Pamela was preceded in death by her parents, Walter and Johnnie Cooper. Her kindness, creativity, and love for her family will forever be treasured.

A visitation to honor Pamela will be held on Tuesday, August 25, 2026 5:00 pm - 7:00 pm at Clayton Thompson Funeral Home, 5200 West Parkway, Groves, Texas 77619. A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, August 26, 2026 beginning at 10:00 am at Memory Gardens, Hwy 69, Nederland, Texas.
