Norma Mae Clark

Norma Mae Wisenbaker Clark, 86, of Groves, Texas passed away on Monday, September 4, 2023 at the Medical Center of Southeast Texas.

She was born on July 1, 1937 in Groves, Texas  to Harvey Richard Wisenbaker and Mae Wells Wisenbaker.  Norma was a lifelong resident of the area. She earned her Master’s degree from Lamar University and taught English at Memorial High School, she retired after 15 years with Port Arthur Independent School District.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her brothers, Harvey Maurice Wisenbaker and John Vernon Wisenbaker; her husband, Bernie Clark.

She is survived by her caregiver and son to her, Arthur Lewis of Groves; her friend and sister to her, Norma Cook of Wallisville, Texas as well as their families.

Graveside service will be at 10:00 AM Saturday, September 16, 2023 at Magnolia Cemetery in Woodville, Texas under the direction of Clayton Thompson Funeral Directors in Groves.
