Noby Jewel Kendrick, 87, of Brookeland, Texas, formerly of Groves, passed away on Tuesday, July 12, 2022.

Noby was born on June 1, 1935 in Gadsden, Alabama. She was member of Groves Christian Church and she had worked in banking industry for 45 years. Noby enjoyed going dancing and crocheting. Noby was a loving person who will be dearly missed.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her ex  husband, Billy Kendrick, her two grandchildren, Hunter, Marissa, her two brothers, and four sisters.

Noby is survived by her sons, David Kendrick and his wife, Miranda of Groves, Wayne Kendrick and his wife, Rose of Brookeland, Michael Kendrick and his wife, Michele of Brookeland, her daughter, Kim Kendrick Hughes and her husband, Danny of Brookeland. Also those left to cherish her memory are her grandchildren, McCayla Brede, Matthew Kendrick, Madyson Guidry, Mason Hughes, Dustin Kendrick, Micah Kendrick, Macy Alvis and three great grandchildren.

A 2:00 PM funeral service will be held on Saturday, July 16, 2022 in Thompson Memorial Chapel at Clayton Thompson Funeral Home. A gathering of family and friends will be prior to the service from 12:00 PM until service time. Rev. Jeff Bell will be officiating. Burial will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park in Groves.

Honoring Noby as pallbearers will be Dustin Kendrick, Matthew Kendrick, Micah Kendrick, Mason Hughes, Jordan Guidry and Sam Alvis.
