Nellie Patricia Buckley, 70, of Groves passed away on Friday, January 31, 2020 at her home.
She was born on November 15, 1949 to her parents, John Thomas Carter and Lovie Stevens Carter in Dallas, Texas. Nellie was a longtime resident of Dallas before moving to the Groves area in 1989. She was a devoted homemaker in raising her family. Nellie was affiliated with Agape Christian Fellowship.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her son, Ronnie Judkins.
Nellie is survived by her loving husband, Robert Buckley of Groves, her son, Johnny Judkins of Arkansas, her daughters, Shanna Brock of Winnie, Misty Briscoe of Winnie, Elizabeth Falconbridge and husband, Jason of Port Arthur, Lacey Buckley of Beaumont, ten grandchildren, Robert Briscoe, Patrick Briscoe, Ashlee Handeland, Ashton Toledo, Dalton Brock, Josh Cook, Elliot Falconbridge, Junior Judkins, Christy Hunt and Hannah Judkins along with numerous great grandchildren.
Visitation will be on Tuesday, February 4, 2020 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Clayton Thompson Funeral Home in Groves. Service to honor Nellie’s life will be at 2:00 PM Wednesday, February 5, 2020 in the Thompson Memorial Chapel at Clayton Thompson. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Memorial Park.
