Obituary

Nelda Rose Bennett, 70, of Groves passed away on Wednesday, January 22, 2020 at Medical Center of Southeast Texas.

Nelda was born on October 6, 1949 in Leesville, Louisiana to parents, Laura Cecelia Clanan and J. C. Savell. She has lived many years in the Groves area and she had worked at many businesses in the area; a secretary, printing shop and for the government. She enjoyed being on her computer, iPad and working puzzles. Nelda was a loving person who will be dearly missed by all.

She was preceded in death by her father, J. C. Savell, her step father, Eloi Hebert.

Nelda is survived by her husband, Elvin Rod Bennett of Groves, TX, her mother, Laura Hebert of Ragley, LA, her sons, Christopher Antilly of and his wife, Heather, of Marion, AK, her daughter, Kimberley Ann Antilly of Marion, AK, her brother, John Savell, Michael Savell, Anthony Hebert, Kenneth Hebert, Joseph Hebert all of Ragley, LA, Carl Hebert of Lakeland, FL, Ray Hebert of Tomball, TX, her sisters, Velda Rigmaiden of Longville, LA, Belinda Keith of Sulphur, LA. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews, great and great-great included.

A 2:00 PM memorial service will be held on Saturday, January 25, 2020 at Clayton Thompson Funeral Home, with a gathering of family and friends from 1:00 PM until service time. Arrangements for cremation were entrusted to Clayton Thompson Funeral Home in Groves.
