Nancy Jane Domec Tomplait, 69, of Groves passed away on Monday, August 21, 2023 at the Medical Center of Southeast Texas.
She was born on May 8, 1954 in Port Arthur, Texas to Willie Domec and Gloria Richard Domec. Nancy was a lifelong resident of Groves, graduating from Port Neches-Groves in 1972. She was a devoted homemaker in raising her family with her husband. Nancy was a very active participant of the PTA. She was a longtime member of First United Methodist Church in Groves. Nancy loved making crafts, cooking, and spending time with family.
Nancy was preceded in death by her parents; her brother, Richard Domec; her sister, Susan Swinney.
She is survived by her loving husband, Doye Tomplait of Groves; her daughter, Kimberly Coker and husband Craig of Groves; her son, Jason Tomplait and wife Keisha of Groves; her four grandchildren, Carly Coker, Kyle Coker, Joseph Tomplait and Jaxson Tomplait; her brother, Doug Domec of Nederland along with nieces and nephews.
The family would like to give a special thanks for the care and love of Dr. Clement, Deziree and staff; Bruce’s Pharmacy- Lynn and staff; and Peggy Gomez.
Visitation will be on Friday, August 25, 2023 from Noon until 2:00 P.M. at First United Methodist Church in Groves. Service to honor Nancy’s life will be at 2:00 PM at the church with Rev. Steve Diaz, officiating. Private burial will be under the direction of Clayton Thompson Funeral Home in Groves.
