Melba Marie Ashworth Arnaud Perez

Melba Marie Ashworth Arnaud Perez, 94, of League City, Texas passed away peacefully on December 9, 2019 at Bayou Pines Nursing Home in LaMarque.

She was born on November 12, 1925 to her parents, Terry Ashworth, Sr, and Eva Doyle Ashworth in Port Arthur. Melba was a lifelong resident of the area and graduated from Thomas Jefferson High School in 1944. She retired from Texaco after 30 years of service. Melba was the first lady of Mended Hearts, Inc. She was a lifelong member of Beta Sigma Phi Sorority. Melba was a member of 1 st Assembly of God Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her 1 st husband, Calvin Joseph Arnaud, her 2 nd husband, John Milton Perez and her youngest son, Audie Conn Arnaud.

Melba is survived by her son, Jeffery Gary Arnaud and his wife, Beverly, her grandson, Jeffery Calvin Arnaud and his wife, Tara, two great grandsons, Jeffery Arnuad and Chase Arnaud along with four step-grandchildren as well as many nieces and nephews.

Visitation for Family and friends will be on Wednesday, December 11, 2019 from 6:00 PM till 8:00 PM at Clayton Thompson Funeral Home in Groves. Service to honor Melba’s life will be at 11:00 AM Thursday, December 12, 2019 in Greenlawn Memorial Park with Rev. Jeff Bell, officiating.
