Martha Belaire

Martha Belaire, 76, of Port Arthur passed away on October 3, 2024, at The Medical Center of Southeast Texas.

Martha was born on February 22, 1948, in St. Martinville, Louisiana to parents Sylvian John Hebert and Eula Theresa (Thibodeaux) Hebert. She lived in Port Arthur most of her life and was a member of St. James Catholic Church. She enjoyed sewing, reading, cooking for her family and friends, and going to the casinos. Martha was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend who will be dearly missed.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her siblings; Helen Sanderson, Phillip Hebert, Judy Hebert Trahan and Ernest Hebert.

Martha is survived by her loving husband Clarence Joseph Belaire, Jr. of Port Arthur. Her sons Sylvian “Van” Belaire and his wife, Angela of Groves, Wayne Belaire and his wife, Dianna of Port Neches, Art Belaire and his wife, Khristie “Kre” of Groves.

She is also survived by her grandchildren, Brandon Belaire and his wife, Sherry, Jordyn Belaire, Jonah Belaire and fiancée, Marisa Broussard, Grace Smith and her husband, Taylor, Colby Johnson, Cheyenne Belaire and her fiancé, Jake Duncan. She is also survived by her great grandchildren Nolan Belaire, Sai Smith, and one on the way, Sydney Duncan. She is survived by one brother, Oran Hebert and his wife Helen, of Lafayette, Louisiana.

A gathering of family and friends will be held on Monday, October 7, 2024, from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Clayton Thompson Funeral Home, with a rosary to be prayed at 6:30 PM at the funeral home. A 10:00 AM funeral service will be held on Tuesday, October 8, 2024, at the funeral. Entombment will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park in Groves.
