Our memories of Marlene always include smiles and laughter amid a family that loved to laugh. She was feisty and funny and always had a smile on her face. She was known for her love of family and friends and for her love of animals. We will miss her, as will so very many. Our love to you Bill, Mark, Gary and Elaine at this difficult time.  Love, David and Icy Ann Iles

Where do I begin? She taught me how to be a Registrar at TJ. Then later we worked together at the Administration Building. She was so full of life n love...I use to call her the Energizer bunny. She loved going to Canton n finding things with the love of her life Bill. She was an amazing woman of God! She will be missed by many.

Mrs. Carter was such a blessing to all of our students, staff, and parents. Her radiant smile, high energy, and happy spirit lit up the campus. She greeted everyone with a cheerful greeting and you could feel the love and care from her heart. She showed true love daily to everyone. We were blessed to have her and her energetic spirit. May God bless Mr. Carter and her entire family.

Marlene has been a light to so many of us at First Baptist Church, Port Arthur. She mentored so many of us in learning more about the Lord. Marlene worked with diligence for the Lord and always showed the life of Christ. I love you so much Marlene, even though I didn’t tell you that as often as I should have. I know you are dancing with the Lord, and the Lord is saying “Well done, good and faithful servant.” ✝️
