Messages of Love

From family and friends

Karla Lief (Halbert) February 6, 2021
To Mark's family: May God's love embrace you, and give you peace. I was so very sad to hear of Mark's passing; I grew up across the street from Mark, and still remember the days he would play my mother's piano- so much talent and such a sweet and genuine person. What an enormous loss...

Oh I’m SO sad to hear of Mark’s sudden passing!  I had recently spoken with him on his Facebook page recently after several years of not communicating. A mutual friend of ours in hospice Mary Gonzales had written she wanted to speak to many musicians from our younger years together, Mark being one. He called her to say his “goodbyes.”  Mark was our guitar player/keyboardist in our band “Tangerine,” down there in Texas. My brother Scott Hoyt  had started the band. It was always a joy to work with Mark! Mark was SO sweet, fun  & talented!! I always affectionately called him “Marquitos,” or just “Quitos.”  So our mutual music loving friend Mary,  on her deathbed reconnected all of musicians after many years, even decades...., then Mark went before her! God works in mysterious ways, but there is always love & relationships involved. I have great memories of Mark! I want you all to know you are in my prayers for God to comfort you all! 🙏🏼✝️❤️  Rest In Peace Mark  my musical brother, with Jesus all the Saints and angels in Heaven!!  I’ll see you later my friend. ❤️✝️🎵
