Marcos Alfonso Contreras, 42, of Port Arthur passed away on Friday, August 12, 2022 at his home.

He was born on February 4, 1980 in Nuevo Laredo, Mexico to Jorge Contreras and Velia Loredo Contreras. Marcos has been a resident of the United States for most of his life. He worked as a metal man for USIG for many years.

He is survived by his mother, Velia Loredo Guerrero of Nuevo Laredo: his brothers, Jorge Contreras, Jr. of Laredo, Julio Contreras of Port Arthur, Tony Contreras of Port Arthur and Saul Contreras of Nuevo Laredo along with numerous nieces and nephews, cousins.

Visitation will be on Saturday, August 20, 2022 from 5:00 PM till 8:00 PM at Clayton Thompson Funeral Home in Groves. Service to honor Marcus's life will be at 2:00 PM Sunday, August 21, 2022 in the Thompson Memorial Chapel at Clayton Thompson. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery.
