Obituary
Lisa Gail Smith Johnnie, 58, of Orange, Texas passed away on Tuesday, March 16, 2021 at Dubuis Hospital of St. Elizabeth in Beaumont.
She was born on January 6, 1963 in Port Arthur, Texas to her parents, Donnie Smith and Mary Lou Crochet Smith. Lisa graduated from Stephen F. Austin High School in 1981. She was a longtime resident of Groves before moving to Orange 13 years ago. Lisa was employed with Mark Albritton DDS for 18 years, and retired in 2013 to focus on being an amazing Nana helping to care for her grandchildren. She was a lifelong member of Faith Harbor Assembly of God church in Port Acres, and was currently attending The Temple in Port Arthur.
She is survived by her loving husband, Dennis Johnnie of Orange; her two sons, Cody Guy and his wife, Cassie of Nederland, Blaine Guy and his wife, Destiny of Groves; her grandchildren, Kaisen, Asher, Anslee, and Aspen; her two sisters, Gala Brown and her husband, Craig of Groves, Tina Dupuis of Nederland along with several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be on Saturday, March 20, 2021 from 6:00 PM till 8:00 PM at Clayton Thompson Funeral Home in Groves. Service to honor Lisa’s life will be at 2:00 PM Sunday in the Thompson Memorial Chapel at Clayton Thompson with burial to follow in Duncan Woods Cemetery 14177 S Mansfield Ferry Rd Orange, TX 77630.
The family request visitors to wear facemask or facial covering at the funeral home and practice social distancing.
A gathering of family and friends will take place at Ty and Michelle Johnnie’s home at 16832 FM 105 Orange, TX 77630 immediately following gravesite services.
