Obituary
Linda Jo Soliz, 74, of Groves passed away on Tuesday, August 24, 2021 at Baptist Hospital in Beaumont.
Linda was born on September 29, 1946 in Port Arthur, Texas to parents Maria Luisa (Hernandez) and Marselino Soliz. She was a lifelong resident of the Golden Triangle and she graduated from Thomas Jefferson High School in 1965. She received her LVN certificate from Park Place, working there for many years. Linda worked at St. Mary Hospital as Pharmacist Technician until the hospital closed. Linda was member of Our Lady Guadalupe Catholic Church. Linda was a loving person who will be missed dearly.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Marselino and Maria Soliz and her nephew, Carlos Torres.
Those left to cherish Linda's memory are her two sisters, Irene Ann Lopez of Port Arthur, Yolanda Ann Torres and her husband, Rudy of Port Arthur. She is also survived by her nephews, Francisco H. Lopez, III and his wife, Mayne of St. Louis, MO, Christopher X. Lopez of Port Arthur, her nieces, Monica Pilar Lopez of Stafford, Texas, Juana Torres Rumsey and her husband, Daniel of Conroe, her aunt, Carmen Leon, and uncles, Arthur Leon and Jesse Montalvo all of Port Arthur, her godchild, Kimberly Sthran and numerous cousins, grandnephews and grandnieces.
A visitation will be held on Friday, September 3, 2021 from 11:30 AM until 1:30 PM at Clayton Thompson Funeral Home, with a rosary to be prayed at 12:30 PM at the funeral home. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, September 3, 2021 at 2:00 PM at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church. Burial will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park is Groves.
