Messages of Love

From family and friends

Sandra Vaughan Merrifield August 26, 2018
I was so saddened today to learn of Leonard Gaspard's passing. He was a very dear friend to my father, Charles Rex Vaughan, a senior co-worker at Gulf States Utilities Company in Port Arthur. Back in April of 2005, the roof caved in on the health of both my elderly parents, and I, an only child, had to leave my home and career in San Antonio to care for them. Leonard, being much younger than my folks, was a blessing and an angel to step in and help me with them, before and after the evacuation from Hurricane Rita. I'm not sure I could have made it through those tough times without him. God bless Leonard, and God bless Gwen who was such a good and loving wife to Leonard always. He was a dear man and appreciated more than he could ever know. May he rest in peace. My deepest condolences go to his family as they adjust to life without Leonard.
