Larry Iley Hyde

Larry Iley Hyde, 74, of Port Neches passed away on Sunday, August 1, 2021 at his home.

He was born on November 11, 1946 in Port Arthur, Texas to his parents, Samuel Hyde and Joyce Sides Hyde. Larry was a longtime resident of Groves before moving to Port Neches over 35 years ago. He earned his machinist degree at Port Arthur Community College. Larry served in the U. S. Navy during the Vietnam War. Larry worked as a machinist with various companies such as Pipetech and Gulf Copper and retired after 56 years.

He was preceded in death by his father, Samuel Hyde, his mother and step-father, Joyce and Ed Perkins; his son, Larry Darren Hyde and his daughter, Christine Marie Hyde.

He is survived by his daughter, Glynda Manuel and her husband, Perry of Crystal Beach, Texas; his five grandchildren, Jessica Hoffpauir and her husband, Drake, Larry Darren Hyde, Jr., Landon Hyde, Marissa Hyde and Brooke Hyde along with four great grandchildren.

Graveside service will be at 11:00 AM Wednesday, August 4, 2021 at Greenlawn Memorial Park with full military honors provided by Southeast Texas Veterans Service Group.
