Obituary

Kenneth “Ken” H. Fontenot, 74, of Port Arthur passed away on December 3, 2019 at his home surrounded by his loving family.

He was born on September 18, 1945 to Mary and Nathan B. Fontenot in Port Arthur, where he lived most of his life. He was a hard worker and loved his family unconditionally. He loved to fish and crab. He was a member of the Masonic Cosmopolitan Lodge #872 in Port Arthur. Ken retired from Motiva after 33 years of service.

He was preceded in death by his parents and many of his close cousins. Those left to cherish his memory is his loving wife, Wilda Fontenot, his daughters, Penny Wheeler and husband, George, Jessica Patin and husband, David, granddaughters that he so loved, Addie and Allison Patin, Emma and Brooke Wheeler.

Visitation will be on Friday, December 6, 2019 from 10 AM till 11AM at Clayton Thompson Funeral Home in Groves. A rosary will be prayed at 11:00 AM followed by the service to honor Ken’s life at Noon. Masonic Graveside rites will conclude the services at the funeral home. Arrangements for cremation are entrusted to Clayton Thompson Funeral Directors in Groves.
