Kellie Marie Smith, 59, of Sulphur, Louisiana passed away on Saturday, February 29, 2020 at West Calcasieu–Cameron Hospital in Sulphur.

She was born on December 15, 1960 to her parents, Leroy Smith and Clara Mae Wright Smith in Port Arthur, Texas. Kellie has been a longtime resident of the area and Southwest Louisiana. She was a devoted homemaker.

Kellie was preceded in death by her parents, Leroy and April Smith, her sister, Karen McGinnis, her brothers, Clint Smith and Harry “Buzz” Hebert and her son, Lester Loupe.

She is survived by her husband, David Fontenot of Sulphur, LA., her daughters, Dusty Letulle and husband, Thomas of Nederland, Shauna Jagneaux and husband, Nick of Nederland, Crystal Mooney of Vidor, daughter-in-law, Alethea Loupe of Nederland, her son, Shane Fontenot of Beaumont along with four grandchildren, Gaige Letulle, Leanna Loupe, Dylan Jagneaux and Emily Jagneaux. She also leaves one sister, Cathy Cravy of Puerto Vallarta, Mexico as well as numerous nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be on Saturday, March 7, 2020 from Noon till 2:00 PM at Clayton Thompson Funeral Home in Groves. A memorial service to honor Kellie’s life will be at 2:00 PM in the Thompson Memorial Chapel at Clayton Thompson. Arrangements for cremation are entrusted to Clayton Thompson.
