Obituary

Joshua Damien Fortune, 44, of Groves passed away on Saturday, March 25, 2023 in Port Arthur.

He was born on August 13, 1978 in Port Arthur, Texas to Garry Dale Fortune and Pamela Marie Wiley Fortune. Joshua was a lifelong resident of the area. He worked as a plumber and pipefitter for several years. He was a member of Holy Cross Lutheran Church in Nederland. He loved riding his motorcycle, playing horseshoes, washers and Frisbee Golf along with spending time with his family.

He was preceded in death by his father.

Joshua is survived by his loving wife, Heather Diane Fortune of Groves; his children, Jaysa and Aiden Fortune of Groves, Hailey and Lauren Bell both of San Angelo, Texas; his mother, Pam Williams and step father Daryl Williams of Groves.

Visitation will be on Saturday, April 1, 2023 from 1:00 PM till 2:00 PM at Clayton Thompson Funeral Home in Groves. A memorial service to honor Joshua’s life will be at 2:00 PM Saturday in the Thompson Memorial Chapel at Clayton Thompson. Arrangements for cremation are entrusted to Clayton Thompson.
