Obituary

Jorge Alberto Escareño, 67, of Port Arthur passed away on Thursday, October 31, 2019 at Medical Center of Southeast Texas.

Jorge was born on April 23, 1952 in Palau, Coah, Mexico to parents, Adelina Calderon de Escareño and Roman Escareño. He has lived in the Port Arthur area for many years and had worked as a ship fitter with TDI Halter in Orange, Texas. He attended Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church. Jorge enjoyed working on cars in his younger years and he loved spending time with his family. Jorge will be dearly missed.

He is preceded in death by his parents and his son, Simon P. Escareño.

Jorge is survived by his wife, Rosario Zamora Escareño of Port Arthur, his sons, Ernesto Escareño of Port Arthur, Marco Antonio Escareño of Port Arthur, his grandchildren, Valeria Escareño, Asael Escareño, Elianna Escareño, Ernesto A. Escareño, Damian Escareño, Giancarlo Escareño. He is also survived by his brothers, Juan A. Escareño, Jose De Jesus Escareño, Wsvaldo Escareño all of Mexico, Ernesto Escareño of Port Arthur, his twin brother, Jorge L. Escareño of Mexico, his sisters, Maria Del Refugion Escareño De Zalazar, Cristina Escareño, Imelda Escareño De Rivera all of Mexico, Idalia Roque of Groves, and numerous nieces, nephews and his extended family The Zamora family.

A visitation will be held on Sunday, November 3, 2019 from 11:00 AM until 8:00 PM at Clayton Thompson Funeral Home, a Vigil will be held at 6:30 PM at the funeral home. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, November 4, 2019 at 11:00 AM at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church. Burial will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park.
