In Loving Memory of JoAnn Beaugh Webre

JoAnn Beaugh Webre, of Port Arthur, Texas passed away on April 21, 2022 at the age of 90.  She was born on December 13, 1931 in Port Arthur, Texas to Mentor and Zula Thibodeaux Beaugh.  She was a 1950 graduate of Bishop Byrne High School and attended Port Arthur Business College.

She married her high school sweetheart, the love of her life on September 1, 1951.  They were blessed with five loving children, eleven grandchildren and thirteen great grandchildren.  JoAnn was a loving and devoted wife, mother and grandmother.  She was so proud of her family and they in turn loved her dearly.  Her husband and children always came first with her and she devoted her life to them.

JoAnn retired from Sears in the early 80’s and was a devout Catholic and faithful member of Saint Catherine’s and Saint Elizabeth’s Church. She served as CCD teacher, CYO adviser and attended weekly adoration.

She is survived by her son, Jerome Bernard Webre, Jr. of Nederland, Texas and four daughters and their husbands, Karen and John Begnaud, Donna and Chris Forster, Jennifer and Richard Boehme of Beaumont, Texas and Ellen and Tom Angelini of Tomball, Texas.

JoAnn is also survived by eleven grandchildren, Jason Begnaud, Bryan Cappadonna, Amy Harris, Courtney Guilbeau, Ashley Jost, Kyle Boehme, Lindsay Romero, Sydney Webre, Zac Angelini, Max Angelini and Chloe Angelini and by thirteen great grandchildren, Kade, Camryn and Caylee Guilbeau, Jonathan and Erin Harris, Michael Cappadonna, Harrison and Bryson Begnaud, Carson Romero, Lucy, Jack and Leo Jost, Liam Angelini.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 65 years, Jerome “Bubba” Webre of Port Arthur, Texas, her parents and siblings, Genevieve Smith, Lucille Janes, Jeanette Borel, Estelle “Totty” Andrepont and Charles Beaugh.

Your light will shine forever and knowing that you are now sitting in the arms of our Blessed Lord is a consolation to us.

We will miss you.

Visitation will be on Sunday, April 24, 2022 from 5:00 PM till 8:00 PM with a rosary to be prayed at 6:00 PM at Clayton Thompson Funeral Home in Groves. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 AM Monday, April 25, 2022 at St. Elizabeth Catholic Church in Port Neches. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Memorial Park in Groves under the direction of Clayton Thompson.
