Jewell LeBleu Davis, 75, of Groves passed away on Tuesday, November 17, 2020 at Baptist Hospital in Beaumont.
Jewell was born on February 12, 1945 in Orange, Texas to parents Mary Ann Townsley and John Thomas LeBleu Sr. She has been a resident of Oak Grove Nursing Home for the last several years, prior she had lived in the Port Arthur area. She enjoyed going to the beauty shop, playing bingo and going shopping. Jewell retired after 36 years of serves from the medical field as a nurse, working at several hospitals and nursing homes in the area. Jewell was a loving person who loved spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Mary Ann Pharr, her father, John Thomas LeBleu Sr., her son, Korrie Hurlen, her daughter, Mary Ann Hurlen Miller, her brother, John Thomas LeBleu Jr. and her sisters, Kathryn LeBleu, Shirley Bowden and Betty Wynkoop.
Jewell is survived by her children, Sharon Vidalier and her husband, John of Port Neches, Doug Culpepper and his wife, Dayne of Vinton, Edward Culpepper and his wife, Megan of Arkansas and her sister, Barbara Long and her husband, Dan of Kentucky. She is also survived by her eleven grandchildren, her twelve and one on the way great grandchildren.
A visitation will be held on Saturday, November 21, 2020 from 11:30 am until 12:30 pm at Clayton Thompson Funeral Home in Groves. A graveside service will be held on Saturday, November 21, 2020 at 1:00 PM at Oak Bluff Memorial Park.
Due to the Covid-19 crisis we are currently in, all visitors to the funeral home are required to wear facemask or coverings and practice social distancing as mandated by State and County officials.
