Jerry Wayne Cox, 70, of Fannett passed away on Monday, November 13, 2023 at Harbor Hospice House in Beaumont.

He was born on September 19, 1953 in Quitman, Mississippi to Clifton Cox and Ollie Pearl Mosley Cox. Jerry has been a resident of the area for most of his life. He worked in the Oil Fields in his early days, retired as a truck driver for ACME Trucking. Jerry served in the Texas National Guard.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his sisters, Barbara Ann Cox and Johnnie Faye White.

Jerry is survived by his loving wife, Tammy G. Cox of Fannett; his son, Clifton Lee Cox (Junior) and his companion Alexis Lingo of Mauriceville: his step-daughter, Tami Soileau and husband Darrell of Port Arthur; two step granddaughters, Ashley Young Roberts and husband Blaine of Port Neches, Kyli Rene Stegall of Port Arthur. He is also survived by his sister, Bobbie J. McCarty of Louin, Mississippi along with several nieces and nephews.

Arrangements for cremation are entrusted to Clayton Thompson Funeral Home in Groves, Texas. A Private family gathering is being held on November 25, 2023.
