Jeanette Phillips Bodin

Jeanette Phillips Bodin, 65, of Groves passed away on March 4, 2023 at the Medical Center of Southeast Texas.

She was born on January 25, 1958 in Port Arthur, Texas to Max Phillips and Juanita Cushion Phillips. Jeanette was a lifelong resident of the area. She earned a degree and worked as a Medical Secretary at UTMB in her early years. Jeanette was a devoted homemaker in raising her family along with her husband, Todd. She was a devoted member of Glad Tidings Assembly of God in Port Arthur.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Mark Todd Bodin; her sister-in-law, Vernell Phillips.

Jeanette is survived by her daughter, Heather Jole’ Briggs and husband Justin of Bridge City; her son, Mark Todd “Boogie” Bodin, Jr. and wife Kandy of Nederland; her four granddaughters, Marissa Briggs, Bailey LeMire, Maezlyn Bodin and Isabella Briggs. She is also survived by her two sisters, Cathy Ayala of Port Arthur and Jimmie Ruth Guidry of Breaux Bridge, La.; her two brothers, Mark Phillips of Port Arthur and Ronnie Max Phillips of Kirbyville as well as several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be on Wednesday, March 8, 2023 from 5:00 PM till 8:00 PM at Clayton Thompson Funeral Home in Groves. Service to honor Jeanette’s life will be at 11:00 AM Thursday, March 9, 2023 in the Thompson Memorial Chapel at Clayton Thompson. Arrangements for cremation are entrusted to Clayton Thompson Funeral Home.
