Jared Charles Abbott, 23, of Groves passed away on May 19, 2023 in Austin, Texas.

He was born on September 23, 1999 in Austin, Texas to Cheri Legendre Abbott and Joel Abbott. Jared was a resident of the area for most of his life, graduating from Little Cypress-Mauriceville High School

He was preceded in death by his father, Joel Abbott.

Jared is survived by his mother, Cheri Abbott of Groves; his grandparents, Ron and Linda Griggs of Vidor; his sister, Ashlyn Godeaux and husband Nathan of Village Mills; his two brothers, Joel Andrew Abbott of New Braunfels, Jeremy Abbott and wife Christina of Fort Worth; nieces, Kaylynn Godeaux, Avery Abbott and nephew, Austin Abbott along with numerous cousins.

Visitation will be on Saturday, May 27, 2023 from 2:00 PM till 6:00 PM at Clayton Thompson Funeral Home in Groves. Arrangements for cremation are entrusted to Clayton Thompson Funeral Directors.
