Lloyd James Smith II, 49, of Houston passed away on Friday, October 18, 2019 at HCA Houston Healthcare North in Cypress, Texas.

James was born on December 8, 1969 in Houston to father, Jerry Randall Smith and mother, Sheila Lee Thibodeaux. He had lived in the Houston area for many years. He attended Culinary School and was a chef at Holiday Inn and Hilton Hotel in Houston. James enjoyed going fishing and cooking for his family and friends. He was a caring and loving person who loved spending time with his girls.

James is survived by his wife, Becky Ramirez Smith of Houston, daughters, Halie Davis Smith of Austin, Laynie "Bug" Michelle Smith of Houston, Abbie Lee "Little Foot" Smith of Houston, his mother, Sheila Jones of Port Arthur and his father, Randy Smith and his wife, Sandy of Cypress. He is also survived by his brothers, Jeremy Jones and his wife, Holly of Groves, Jason Smith of Nederland, his sister, Jennifer Norman of Mineral Wells, his step brother, Eric Edens of Cypress, his niece, Kayli Smith and his nephew, Jayden "My Boy Blue" Jones.

A visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 23, 2019 from 2:00 pm until 8:00 pm at Clayton Thompson Funeral Home, with a rosary to be prayed at 6:00 pm at the funeral home. A 2:00 pm Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, October 24, 2019 at St. James Catholic Church in Port Arthur. The celebrant will be Rev. Steven Leger. Cremation arrangements will follow the services under the direction of Clayton Thompson Funeral Home.
