Obituary

James Corbett “J.C.” Levins, Jr. , 73, of Spurger passed away on Tuesday, December 7, 2021 at his home surrounded by his loving family.

He was born on January 21, 1948 in Silsbee, Texas. J. C. attended Tyler Junior College for a couple of years. He retired from Motiva as an operator after 35 years of service that began with Texaco. J. C. lived in Port Neches for over 50 years before moving to Spurger over 3 years ago. He was a member of Fellowship Baptist Church in Nederland.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his son, Donald Bennett.

He is survived by his loving wife, Barbara Woods Levins of Spurger; his two sons, Charles Svoboda of Port Neches and Floyd Bennett along with numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren. He is also survived by his sister, Cecelia Odom of Spurger along with his girls being his heart and he cared deeply for Angel and Tiny.

Graveside service to honor his life will be at 2:00 PM Monday, December 13, 2021 at Oak Bluff Memorial Park in Port Neches with Rev. Paul Williams, officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Clayton Thompson Funeral Home in Groves.
