James Paul LeBlanc

1/1/1938 – 9/16/2022

James passed away on Friday, September 16, 2022 in Beaumont, Texas at Harbor Hospice Hospital at the age of 84. He was born in New Iberia, Louisiana to Edon LeBlanc and Emerite Labit LeBlanc. He was a 1957 graduate of Erath High School in Erath, Louisiana. He served in the U.S. Army. After discharge, he moved to Texas and retired from Quantum Chemical in Port Arthur, TX. James was of the Catholic faith and a lifelong Democrat.

For ten years prior to his retirement, Jimmy enjoyed going to Moto Cross races with his son, Jerry. After his retirement, Jimmy and his wife Lynda, spent time camping, fishing, and going to casinos where they made life-time friends.

James is survived by his wife, Lynda and children, Christine Litchfield, Penny LeBlanc, Jerald LeBlanc and wife Janet, and Pansy LeBlanc.  He is also survived by two stepchildren Earl Harbert, Laura Tamplin, 13 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.

He is predeceased by his parents, five siblings, one stepson, and one great grandchild.

Per his request, his remains were donated to The University of Texas Health Science Center Willed Body Program. There will be a Celebration of his Life on Saturday, September 24, 2022 from 12 PM – 4 PM at his home at 2008 Avenue J, Nederland.
